Our Story
We saw a serious barrier to healing in the recovery space, and we chose to do something about it.
After years of working in recovery, Zac and his team saw a problem. Insurance rarely covers the cost of life saving care–and it hurts lives, particularly those in underserved communities.
Rather than sit back and wait for insurance companies to expand their coverage or for someone to offer a solution, Zac and team took matters into their own hands. In 2020, they founded the Release Foundation, the nonprofit arm of Release Recovery.
The Release Foundation provides millions of dollars in scholarships to individuals without the means to afford quality treatment. Zac and team ensure that everyone who wants treatment gets it–regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation.
