Team Release is taking it to Germany for the 2025 Berlin Marathon.

Requirements of being on Team Release…

1. $6,000 fundraising minimum (although we encourage all of our fundraisers to push past this, our scholarships average $7,500 which is a great goal!)

2. Fly the Release flag whenever possible

3. Register for the Berlin Marathon

Our hometown race is the epitome of what Release is: a community moving together to support a common mission. Since 2021, Release Foundation has raised over $2,500,000 from the NYC Marathon alone, and we are ready to set a new benchmark in 2025! To help us do it, we are proud to partner again with New York Road Runners in 2025 as a Silver Level Charity Partner.

Golden Bib Program

Marathon partnerships are our #1 method of fundraising, and the work we do at the Release Foundation would not be possible without you. That’s why we are ecstatic to pilot the Golden Bib Program this year to recognize our most outstanding fundraisers – those who go above and beyond to support our mission and save lives.

With just 10 available at the outset, the minimum fundraising requirement for a Golden Bib is $15,000, which is enough to help two people get the life-saving care they need but cannot afford. The Golden Bib comes with a number of perks to make the best weekend of the year even better, including:

1. Limited edition additional gear from our sponsors 

2. Pre-race Golden Bib dinner 

3. Premier post-race recovery experience at one of our Recovery Partners
