The Lily Young Woman’s Scholarship
The Fund
Young women face a growing but often hidden risk of substance use disorder, driven less by recreation and more by attempts to cope with anxiety, depression, trauma, and intense performance pressure. Prescription exposure can normalize use early, while biological factors mean women experience stronger effects from smaller amounts and progress more quickly from use to dependence. Stigma, fear of judgment, and caregiving or reproductive concerns frequently delay help-seeking, allowing substance use to become more severe before intervention occurs—making early, trauma-informed support essential.
The Lily Scholarship is designed to help young women access mental health and Substance Use Disorder with access to high quality care.
